Default retirement age abolished

The default retirement age (DRA) will be abolished on 1 October 2011. Businesses will need to consider how the changes will affect their:

  • Workforce planning arrangements. 
  • Existing recruitment procedures. 
  • Current appraisal and performance management processes.
